Bolt, plank and hinge

Three objects of a door are used figuratively to express the functions of the three yang and three yin meridians. Of the three yang meridians, Taiyang is compared to the bolt, Yangming to the plank and Shaoyang to the hinge. Of the three yin meridians, Taiyin is compared to the bolt, Jueyin to the plank and Shaoyin to the hinge.

관합추(關闔樞)

[생리] 삼양경과 삼음경이 외사를 방어하는 것을 문에 비유하여 이르는 말. 삼양경은 외문이고 삼음경은 내문이며, 태양경과 태음경은 빗장(關)이고, 양명경과 소음경은 문짝(闔)이며, 소양경과 궐음경은 지도리(樞)의 역할을 한다. =개합추(開闔樞).
